While in Las Vegas, Nevada, Johnny had the unique honor of meeting Wayne Newton at the Flamingo Casino and Resort.  Johnny attended Newton’s performance at the Flamingo and was able to meet with him after the show.  Johnny presented Newton with a song that he had written honoring him.  The song titled “The King of Las Vegas” was written after Johnny read the book “Once Before I Go” the biography on Wayne Newton’s life.  Newton thanked Johnny and said that he was very honored to receive the song.
